An individual accepted to BHA must meet the following criteria:
- 18 years or older
- Have a diagnosed or self-admitted problem with drugs and/or alcohol.
- Be willing to live with other residents in a home-like atmosphere for 60-90 days, while participating in outpatient substance abuse treatment at a local treatment provider.
- Be willing to refrain from using alcohol, illicit drugs and non-prescribed medications during your stay at BHA.
- Understand that smoking, cell phone use and involvement with social media and interacting with residents of the opposite gender will be limited while at BHA.
- Have mental health, behavioral and/or medical issues that can be managed by residential staff and community providers.
- Allow BHA staff to speak to your outpatient substance abuse counselor regarding your treatment.
- Establish a discharge plan prior to acceptance in case of administrative discharge.
- Have the means to pay a monthly fee for staying at BHA.
